I’m a strategic communicator and creator obsessed with breakthroughs and their impacts beyond the lab.
Over 20+ years in science and technology journalism and communications, I’ve turned frontier advances into content that people can understand and trust. Today at IBM Research, I specialize in AI, quantum computing, and semiconductors. My earlier roles focused on satellite tech, aerospace engineering, nuclear physics, medicine, and biology, including reporting for WIRED, Popular Science, and Business Insider.
I bring to my work an investigative reporter’s instincts, a multimedia producer’s range, a scientist’s curiosity, and the grit of someone who’s navigated reputational crises. I know how to motivate team members and collaborate with executives. I thrive where speed, clarity, teamwork, and a deep respect for detail and nuance matter, and I’m at my best when making something complex both gettable and credible enough to land with the right audiences.
Past credits and bookings include The Today Show, CBS This Morning, 'What on Earth?' on the Science Channel, Fox & Friends, CNN, CNBC, PBS, Pix11, AP, Reuters, BBC News, Al Jazeera America, Cheddar, ABC Radio, BBC Radio, Marketplace Radio, Texas Public Radio, and more.
I'm part of a cross-functional communications team at IBM Research, the beating heart of organic innovation at a storied technology company. I focus primarily on quantum computing and AI, plus semiconductors and other emerging research areas, and frequently support announcements across IBM's infrastructure, software, finance, and international/geo comms teams.
Day to day, that means partnering with executive stakeholders, interviewing field-leading subject matter experts, developing targeted media campaigns, writing press releases, wrangling messaging and talk tracks, pitching top-tier journalists, media-training and coaching researchers, scripting and hosting press briefings, executing high-stakes launches, and more.
My colleagues call me an "AI Superuser": I'm frequently building new agentic solutions — via IBM Bob, Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT, and other generative tools — to free up more time for executing creative, strategic, human-to-human work that drives success in communications.
Leading comms and content across a Nasdaq-listed space startup and one of the world's most-watched research labs.
A small sample of reporting bylines that still inform how I write, edit, and communicate today.
Outside of work, I serve as Technology Committee Chair for my kids' school PTA and coach youth sports, among other volunteer roles. I'm always trying to help nonprofits get organized, informed, and heard.
